April 20, 2007 Demolition Begins Over Main Street Demolition of the I-25 bridge over Main Street will begin Monday and Tuesday of next week. The southbound ramp will be closed, all other ramps will remain open. All ramps should reopen on Wednesday April 25. Weather caused a one day delay for the planned shift of the northbound traffic to the left lane of southbound lanes. April 6, 2007 Construction Has Begun The widening and reconstruction of Interstate 25 through Trinidad began in early February with single lane closures for median work. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has awarded a $38.3 Million contract to Lawrence Construction Company, who will reconstruct northbound I-25 from Van Buren to Goddard Avenue.
